Lanzarote (11th- 18th 2024)

Lanzarote has always been a family favourite holiday for many reasons, mostly because it gives us all time to unwind and relax for a week or two!!

We spent a week in a villa we have grown to love in Lanzarote which has views overlooking the sea and if it isn’t too cloudy, the sunset! The location is perfect, close enough to the shops and beaches, but tucked away in a quiet area, just how we like it!

My week consisted of lots and lots of swimming, floaty and handstand competitions, devouring Spanish ice lollies as they are superior, binge watching movies and shows, loads of reading, and exploring the different areas around Lanzarote in our rental car… especially the shops!!

My choice of purple Birkenstock sandals was not ideal on these adventures as the orange sand went everywhere and I did not want to wreck any of my shoes, so I appreciated the view from the car window instead!

A highlight of the holiday was my sister and I watching the Eras Tour live from YouTube, anxiously waiting for surprise songs, hoping they weren’t anything from Fearless (Taylor’s Version) or Reputation (pls hurry up and release it Taylor xxx). We even watched it live as our plane was taking off from the runway! This often led to us reminiscing over our Eras Tour experience and falling right back into a new form of PTSD… Post Taylor Swift Depression!

The week away felt like it was two days long and I really didn’t want to come back home on a Jet2 flight, but it did give me time to read even more of my books! It was really nice to be able to spend time away from home, with my family and be able to chill for a week in the  sun☀️
