A Day In The Life Of A Music Student!

Here's a summary of my usual day as a student studying music at LMA. My days aren't really that glamorous, if I need to be in Uni for 9am I usually get up at around 6:15am and get ready to leave the house by 7:20, I get something quick to eat for breakfast and take a drink to the car with me, usually a fruit tea that my mum has brewed for me. Once I leave my house the journey usually takes around an hour and a half depending on whether the traffic is good, the traffic goes really slow before the mersey tunnels and on the Strand just before the car park but sometimes I get lucky and the journey is smooth sailing.

Once I've parked up, I walk through Liverpool One to LMA, I walk up the many sets of stairs to the third floor (the music floor) and find the band rehearsals rooms that we are in for that day. Usually I'm waiting a bit for everyone to arrive but whilst some of us are waiting we set up so that we can have a prompt start once everyone has arrived. Rehearsals usually go quite quickly, at this time of year they are more stressful because we are preparing for our end of year show and this year it is our last ever one! we are performing at the 'Cavern Club' on the 3rd of May and that will be our last show as students of LMA.

After rehearsals are finished (usually around 4pm), I hot foot it to my car ready to drive home for the evening. If I can get out of the Mersey tunnel and onto the M53 before 5pm I usually miss the rush hour traffic but its more likely than not that I do get stuck in slow traffic.

Once I get home I have dinner with my parents and my sister if she is home from university and I chill for a little bit. I usually then go straight upstairs to my room and get my pyjamas on, because pjs are way comfier then jeans! I practice my songs and the guitar for a couple of hours and then I check my calendar/ schedule for the next day/ week. I usually end the night by sitting with my parents in the lounge for a bit of watching a show with my sister and then I go up to bed at around 11;30pm.
